Baked Brie with Microgreens
Brie, with its mild flavor and creamy texture, is a lovely cheese to top with microgreens and more. Check out this recipe for a slightly sweet and savory appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 10 oz Brie wheel
- 1/4 cup Leek or onion microgreens finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Honey or maple syrup optional for a touch of sweetness
- Fresh cracked black pepper to taste
- Fresh microgreens for garnish (onion, leek, basil, or fennel)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Place the brie wheel on a baking sheet lined with parchment1 10 oz Brie wheel
- Lightly score the top in a crisscross pattern to allow toppings to melt in as it bakes
- Drizzle with olive oil and scatter the microgreens on top1 tbsp Olive oil, 1/4 cup Leek or onion microgreens
- If using the honey or maple syrup, drizzle it lightly.2 tbsp Honey or maple syrup
- Add a sprinkle of black pepperFresh cracked black pepper to taste
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until soft and starting to ooze, but not completely melted
- Carefully transfer to a serving plate and garnish with fresh microgreen herbsFresh microgreens for garnish (onion, leek, basil, or fennel)
- Serve with sliced baguette, crackers or apple slices
